Q: How do you charge for bridal makeup?
A: Inquire within for a personalised quotation. Our rates are highly competitive.
In addition, Pixie is always updated with promotions that give you substantial cost savings. Visit our Facebook to see ongoing promos.
Q: Why should I consider these promotions?
A: We only launch promotions during off-peak months.
However if you book us early with a current promotion, Pixie will honor the agreed upon price even if
your wedding falls on auspicious months when we do not offer discounts.
We launch promotions as an incentive to those who are willing to book us early. It's a win-win on both
sides. Cost savings for you. Efficient time management & event planning for us.
Q: How much is the required deposit?
A: 50% deposit is required to make your booking.
Q: What happens if I wish to cancel a booking?
A: In the event you wish to cancel your booking Pixie reserves the right to forfeit the deposit.
Pixie is committed to all our clients' dates and we turn down all others who may want
to book us on dates that are already full. So we have to forfeit the deposit to compensate
the loss due to cancellations. As an alternative, we can arrange to move your date(subject to available dates).
Our advice is that you plan your dates thoroughly before getting us commit.
Q: How much time will the makeover & hairstlying take?
A: It takes approximately 2 hours for bridal or 1 hour 15 minutes for non-bridal makeup. The makeup artist will arrive half an hour earlier to allow preparations.
Q: Should I wash my hair one day before the makeover or on the day itself?
A: We recommend that you wash your hair the night before your makeover. This will ensure that your hair is easier to manage and style.
Q: Is there an extra charge for hair accessories?
A: Hair accessories are included for bridal packages at no extra charge(there is a minimal charge only non-bridal package). You may choose to use Pixie’s range of accessories or your own. Should you choose our accessories, these are loaned to you and must be returned after your wedding. If you prefer to use fresh flowers, we advice to purchase these earlier since the choice of colours and flowers are highly subjective to individual preference.
Q: Are there any hidden cost after booking?
A: Strictly none. The agreed upon price for our service is all discussed and confirmed during booking.
The only exception is the case where you want the artist to stay back additional hours. An extra charge
will apply for unexpected additional stay-back hours requested.
Q: Do I need to apply skincare after my shower or before makeup?
A: That is not necessary. An applied ampoule is sufficient as a moisturizer and makeup base.
Q: Why are ampoules being applied beneath the makeup?
A: Ampoules improve the makeup’s hold for a longer lasting effect. It also makes the skin appear radiant.
Q: Should I arrange for a makeup trial?
A: Sure. A makeup trial is the perfect time for you to discuss and try out your preferred look for the wedding day. We definitely encourage you to attend a trial before your wedding day.
Q: When is the best time to trim or to dye my hair?
A: If possible, plan to trim or dye your hair roughly 4 weeks before the wedding. Too far from the wedding and you may need to redo it. On the other hand, too close to the date and you risk not liking the colour or style. Allow a fair amount of time to make any change.
Q: Will facial treatments help the makeup look better?
A: Yes. Facial treatments improve skin condition. Consider a facial if you have dry or damaged skin. Dry skin will cause the foundation to look caked up or thick.
Maintaining a well hydrated and moisturized skin provides the perfect base for makeup. It will allow the makeover to look more radiant and natural.
Q: Do quality makeup brands make a difference in skincare?
A: Definitely. The main reason is that low quality makeup is more abrasive. While, optically, the
results between two products may look the same - in actual fact one might be causing more damage to
the skin. Over a period of time this may result in deeper wrinkles and damaged skin. Pixie uses only
high grade products from trusted brands like Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura, M·A·C etc.

As a super indecisive bride-to-be, I probably bombarded Veron's inbox with tons of hairstyle pics (most of which were snitched from theknot.com). Thank goodness she was very a very patient makeup artist....asked me to narrow down on my choices and to choose - updo or low-do. Initially I went for a low-do, to keep things natural for the reception. Went for the trial and was all happy with it. Then weeks later, I changed my mind and told her that I definitely want an updo, and sent her some pictures again. She told me 'No problem' and that it can be done...and asked me not to worry about it. Yups...good thing I had that level of trust in her, coz the end result came up perfectly! The hair-do was exactly like the picture I showed her...and the makeup, very natural. Removing the pins at the end of the night was also a breeze...no clumps of hair stuck together (yay!). Would totally go to Veron again if I ever need my hair and makeup done. Highly recommended, you'll be pleased with the end results :)

The Pixie Bridal studio started its humble beginning around mid 2007 in Sungai Long, Kuala Lumpur.
Pixie was founded by a makeup artist with a distinct passion for bridal makeup.
The makeup/photo studio is a collaborative effort between Pixie and Futagoza photography.
After five years in business, the wedding makeup artist and Futagoza decided to move into a more central area in Puchong, not far from IOI mall, Tesco and Giant Supermarket.

Veron, Pixie's founder, is good with mixing her own foundation to match complexion accurately. Many clients complement her makeup flair in bringing out the best in facial features. She is versatile in creating any look, be it nude or dramatic look. Her portfolio includes brides, corporate shooting, function-goers, fashion catalogues and portraitures. L'Oreal, Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura, Carrefour and Alliance Bank are some examples of corporations that have engaged her work.
The Pixie brand recently launched La Belle Wedding Dress, a subsidiary that sells custom made wedding dresses.
